The grounds at Barr Mansion allow a party to have ‘stages’ allowing a progression of events to happen easily and naturally. Whether cocktails under the pecan tree, keynote speakers in the ballroom or sessions in the house, there are an infinite number of event configurations allowing parties or conventions an experience versus a single room to call their own. The grounds are always reserved one client at a time to capture the magic of the surroundings. Our unique setting allows us to accommodate any size group comfortably. Events for small to medium groups up to 75 people can be hosted in the Mansion or in our various garden settings. The ballroom is ideal for groups of 75 to 250, depending on the setup for the music, dance floor, and number of tables.

For larger groups we spill outside onto one of our patios and several lawn locations with the possibility for tents in whatever size we need. We have hosted many parties of 800 in which tables are scattered all throughout the lawn and garden areas. We almost always have people request to have a portion of their party outside to enjoy the beautiful gardens and the ambience of a moonlit night with table candles flickering and paper lanterns swaying from the trees.

Barr Mansion shines in the diversity of events possible. Although primarily weddings, the contrast of ancient and modern, inside and out, and casual and formal leads to multiple groups, budgets and scenarios.
